Use a mobile device as a dedicated Sonos controller

This article will show you how to set up a supported iOS or Android device as a dedicated controller for Sonos. Once enabled, the device will only display the Sonos app and prevent users from navigating outside the app unless a passcode is entered, or a combination of buttons are pressed.

iOS

Follow the steps in Apple’s article on how to use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPad touch to enable Guided Access and then start a Guided Access session with the Sonos app.

Android

Follow the steps in Google’s article on pinning and unpinning screens on your Android device to enable screen pinning and pin the Sonos app.

Note: In order to update the Sonos app, you will need to disable Guided Access or screen pinning.
