Battery settings for portable Sonos products

This article covers the different battery-related settings that you can adjust for portable Sonos products.

Battery Saver

You can toggle Battery Saver on your portable Sonos products to change how they manage their battery power.

When Battery Saver is disabled, portable Sonos products will go to sleep after being idle for 30 minutes and will automatically wake up when you open the Sonos app.

When Battery Saver is enabled, the portable Sonos product will fully power off after being idle for 30 minutes instead of going into sleep mode. This helps extend battery life when the portable Sonos product is not in use.

By default, Battery Saver is enabled on Sonos Roam and disabled on Sonos Move and Move 2.

Enable or disable Battery Saver

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the  Settings tab, press System.
  3. Press the name of your portable Sonos product.
  4. Under Battery, toggle Battery Saver on or off.

Roam WiFi Power Save

When this setting is enabled, you can extend the battery life of your Roam or Roam SL when it’s connected to WiFi. This setting is on by default.

Enable or disable WiFi Power Save on your Roam

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the  Settings tab, press System.
  3. Press the name of your Roam under Products.
  4. Under Battery, toggle WiFi Power Save on or off.
