Create or edit a Sonos playlist

This article goes over how to create, edit, and add songs to a Sonos playlist using the current Sonos app as well as the Sonos S1 Controller app. The article also shows you where to find, play, and edit your Sonos playlists after you’ve created them.

Create or add songs to a Sonos playlist

Sonos apps for iOS or Android

1. While browsing your content sources, select the More button next to a song, album, or playlist.
2. Select Add to Sonos playlist.
   1. To create a new Sonos playlist, select New playlist. Give your playlist a name, then select Done (or OK).
   2. To add to an existing Sonos playlist, choose a playlist from the list, then select Done.

You can also find the More button on the Now Playing screen.

• In the Sonos app, the More button is located at the bottom-right of the screen.
• In the Sonos S1 Controller app, it’s located to the right of the song title.

Sonos apps for macOS or Windows

1. While browsing your library or content services, right-click on the name of a song, album, or playlist.
2. Select Add to Sonos playlist.
   1. To create a new Sonos playlist, select the New playlist button at the bottom of the window. Give your playlist a name, then select OK.
   2. To add to an existing Sonos playlist, choose a playlist from the list.

When using the Sonos apps for macOS or Windows, you can also save your current queue as a new Sonos playlist. When there are songs in the queue, select Save Queue along the bottom of the window.

Browse, edit or delete your Sonos playlists

While editing a Sonos playlist, you can change the song order, remove songs, change the playlist title, or delete a playlist entirely.

Sonos app for iOS or Android

You can find your Sonos playlists in the Sonos Favorites section of the Home screen.

1. From the Home screen, find the section for Sonos Favorites, then select the Sonos Favorites header.
2. Select playlists.
3. Locate your Sonos playlist from the list.

To edit the playlist, choose the playlist from the list, select the More button, then select Edit Sonos playlist.

To delete a playlist, select Edit, then select the minus sign of the playlist you wish to delete.

Sonos S1 Controller app for iOS or Android

1. From the My Sonos tab, select playlists.
2. Locate your Sonos playlist in the list.

To edit the playlist, choose the playlist from the list, select the More button at the top-right, then select Edit playlist.

To delete a playlist, select Edit, then select the cross sign of the playlist you wish to delete.

Sonos apps for macOS or Windows

1. From the Select a Music Source section, select Sonos playlists.
2. Select your Sonos playlist from the list.

After selecting your Sonos playlist, you can edit the song order by dragging the song up and down in the list. To remove a song, right-click the song name and select Remove Song. You can select and edit multiple songs at once by selecting the checkboxes next to their names before dragging or right-clicking.
