Update your Sonos Headphones

This article goes over how to update your Sonos headphones to the latest software version using the Sonos app for iOS or Android.

To go through the update process, your Sonos Ace or Sonos Ace Ultra must be set up in the Sonos app and connected to your iOS or Android device via Bluetooth. The Sonos app must be kept open when performing an update to Sonos headphones.

Check for updates

1. Go to the Settings menu and select your Sonos Ace or Sonos Ace Ultra under the Headphones section.
2. In the About section, select Software Updates.
3. Select Check for Updates.

If an update is available, the app will guide you through the update process.

While the update is in progress, keep your Sonos headphones near your iOS or Android device to prevent any interruptions. The status light on Sonos headphones will blink orange and white while updating, then revert back to solid blue when the update is complete.
