Error 1009 when updating Sonos
Error 1009 occurs when your Sonos products were unable to reconnect to your network after being updated. Below are some common steps you can take to resolve this error.
Check the status light on your Sonos products
If the light on your Sonos product is solid or flashing white, follow the remaining steps below. If you notice any other behavior from the status light, see our article on Sonos LED lights for more details.
Reboot your Sonos products
Reboot all of your Sonos products. Once you have rebooted all of your Sonos products, make sure they all show up in the Sonos app and try the update again.
Move closer to your WiFi router
If possible, move the device with the Sonos app closer to the router and try the update again.
