Navigating the Sonos app with tabs

We’re reintroducing tabs to the Sonos app to make browsing, controlling, and searching for content easier than ever.

Enable tab navigation

Tab navigation will soon be available to all Sonos app users. If you’d like to try it out early, you can enable it via the Sonos app.

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. Navigate to the Settings menu.
  3. Tap the toggle icon next to Enable Improved Navigation.

Enabling improved navigation will also enable new sorting options for your Sonos products.

Tab navigation

When enabled, tab navigation adds three helpful shortcuts to the bottom of your Sonos app: Home, System, and Search.

Home

Tap the Home tab to return to the Sonos Home screen at any time. From here you can access recently played content, Sonos Favorites, browse any content services that you’ve added to Sonos, and more.

System

Tap the System tab to open your system view. This view shows all available outputs in your Sonos system, as well as any active content streams. From here, you can easily start and control playback on any Sonos products in your home.

Tap the Search tab to search the content you love, or browse various services to find something new to play. You can also view your search history to quickly pick up where you left off.

Note: To view search history, Enable Search History must be active under App Preferences.
