Change or reset your Sonos account password

This article will show you how to reset your Sonos account password, even if you are currently unable to access your Sonos account.

If you have forgotten your password

Visit and follow the instructions to create a new password. See our article on receiving emails from Sonos if you did not receive your password reset email.

Reset your password from the Sonos app

Sonos app for iOS or Android

  1. Go to the Account menu.
  2. Select Account Details.
  3. Under Account Info, select Reset Password.

Sonos S1 Controller app for iOS or Android

  1. From the Settings tab, select Account.
  2. Under Manage, select Reset Password.

Change your password from the Sonos website

  1. Go to to login to your Sonos account.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Click or tap on Edit Profile.
  4. Type your new password into the Password field.
  5. Click to tap Save Changes.

Password requirements

  • At least 8 characters
  • No common passwords
  • Previously used passwords can’t be reused
