Charter / Spectrum SAX2V1S, SAX2V1R, SAX1V1S compatibility

These routers have a known issue that prevents them from working with Sonos. The solution below will ensure that they will work with Sonos.


Issue

When your Sonos system is in a wireless setup, Sonos products disappear from the Sonos app.


Solution

Charter / Spectrum have fixed this issue with recent firmware updates for these routers. Contact Charter / Spectrum’s Customer Service team to learn how to update your router’s firmware.

When you speak to their service team, please ensure that your router is on one of the approved firmware versions:

  • Sagemcom 6E (firmware 1.5.6)
  • Sagemcom 6 (firmware 4.4.4)
  • Sercomm 6E (firmware 1.3.6)

You can also solve this issue by using your Sonos system in a wired setup.
