Remove a Sonos Sub

This article will show you how to remove a Sub or Sub Mini from a room in your Sonos system.

Sonos app for iOS or Android

1. Go to the Settings menu.
2. Under Your System, select the room with the Sub or Sub Mini.
3. Select Remove Sub, then choose Move to another room or Remove Sub.

Sonos S1 Controller app for iOS or Android

1. From the  Settings tab, tap System.
2. Under Products, select the room that's connected to the Sub.
3. Select Remove Sub.

When selecting Move to another room, the Sonos app will ask you to choose another room to immediately connect with the Sub.

Remove Sub will remove the Sub from the current room but keep it connected to your Sonos system. To add the Sub again:

• Sonos app
  Go to the Settings page for any compatible product in the Sonos app and select Add Sub.
• Sonos S1 Controller app
  Find the removed Sub in the Rooms tab and select it to connect it to a compatible product.
