Sonos Voice Control and Hue setup not working

This article provides steps to resolve issues with the Sonos Voice Control and Hue setup process.



Install both Sonos and Hue apps

If the Sonos app is not installed on the same device before beginning the Hue setup process, the Hue app will not alert you about this requirement. Check that you have both the Sonos app and the Hue app installed on the same device.


Set up Sonos and Hue on the same network

The setup process may present issues when the Hue Bridge has been set up outside the local area network that the Sonos system exists on.

  1. In the Hue app select Settings > Bridges, then select "Hue" if there are multiple options.
  2. Review the "Status" of the Bridge as either "Connected" or "Unreachable". If the Bridge is unreachable, check that the Bridge is receiving power and is wired to the router Sonos is connected to.
