Unable to add tracks to the queue
This article will help solve a “Something went wrong” error message when trying to add songs to the queue in the Sonos app. In the Sonos S1 app, this error appears as “Unable to add tracks to the queue” and is sometimes accompanied by “Error 1001” or “Error 701.” This error means that a Sonos speaker tried to play music but couldn’t finish the request.
This error is caused by network communication problems, either between Sonos and your router or between Sonos and the internet. Follow the suggestions below to resolve the errors.
Reboot your router
Unplug your router from power for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Your router may take several minutes to come back online. When your network is back, try playing music on Sonos.
Reboot your Sonos speakers
Follow our guide on rebooting Sonos products to restart each affected speaker. When the speakers are back online, try playing music on Sonos.
Clear up any wireless interference
Wireless interference can cause communication issues between your speakers. Follow our article on reducing wireless interference to improve the wireless environment. After making adjustments, try playing music on Sonos.
Adjust playlist
Reduce the number of tracks in the playlist and attempt to add it to the queue again. This action may cause playlist data to sync, allowing users to add tracks again.
Attempt playback directly from from the content service or Airplay, if available
The content service may be less congested, allowing for tracks to queue up without issues.
