Set up Sonos Voice Control

This article will show you how to set up Sonos Voice Control on your Sonos system. Once setup, you can use Sonos Voice Control to request music, control playback, group and ungroup rooms, and more.

Sonos Voice Control is available in US-English and French.

Before you start

  • Update your Sonos system to the latest version.
  • You can add Sonos Voice Control to any Sonos system with a voice-enabled Sonos product.
  • You can activate Sonos Voice Control and Amazon Alexa on the same speaker. While you can’t activate Sonos Voice Control and the Google Assistant on the same speaker, you can activate the Google Assistant on a different speaker in the same system.


Add Sonos Voice Control

  1. Open the Sonos S2 app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the Settings tab, press Services & Voice.
  3. Press Add a Voice Assistant.
  4. Press Sonos Voice Control.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to add Sonos Voice Control to your Sonos system.
