Set up your Sonos Era 100

This article will help you get started with setting up your Sonos Era 100. You can find more information on product features and specs on Era 100’s product page.

Before you start

  • Place your Era 100 in your desired location and connect it to power.
  • Download the Sonos S2 app for iOS or Android. The app will guide you through the set up process.
  • Era 100 must be set up on a WiFi network before it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker.

Set up a new Sonos system with Era 100

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. Tap Set up a new system, then create or sign in to your Sonos account.
  3. Tap Add on the popup showing your Sonos product.
  4. Follow the steps in the app to set up your Era 100 and add your music and voice services.


Add Era 100 to your existing Sonos system

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the Settings tab, tap System > Add Product.
  3. Follow the steps in the app to connect Era 100 to your Sonos system.

Additional details

  • Once set up and connected to WiFi, you can switch your Era 100 over to Bluetooth mode at any time. See our article on pairing Era 100 with Bluetooth devices for more information.
  • Era 100 features a USB-C port on the back which can be used with the Sonos Line-In Adapter or the Sonos Combo Adapter. Both adapters allow you to connect a 3.5mm audio cable to your Era 100 for audio Line-In. The Combo Adapter offers an Ethernet port for wiring your Era 100 to the network.
