Product shown as incompatible in the Sonos S2 app

This error message is shown in the Sonos S2 app if your Sonos system detects a product that is not compatible with S2. This can happen if the product in question was powered off when the system updated to S2, then powered on again after the update was completed.

The incompatible product cannot be used in the Sonos S2 app. You can reset the incompatible product to remove it from your system.

You can still use the Sonos product after you reset it to factory defaults, but it needs to be set up again separately using the Sonos S1 Controller app. You can learn how to do this in our article on setting up a separate Sonos S1 system.
