Cisco RV Series compatibility

These routers have a known issue that prevents them from working with Sonos. The solution below will ensure that they will work with Sonos.


Issue

Connecting more than one Sonos product to this router with an Ethernet cable results in a broadcast storm, causing a loss of network connectivity for all devices.


Solution

  1. Log into the router's administration panel.
  2. Navigate to L2 Switch > RSTP.
  3. Check 'Protocol Enable' on all ports.
