Saved groups
If you frequently add the same Sonos rooms together in a group, you can save that group as a preset in the Sonos app. This saved group will show as an option along the top of the Grouping menu.
Requirements
Saved groups are available on Sonos systems that contain three or more products. Sonos systems with one or two products will not see an option for saved groups.
Saved groups are not available in the Sonos S1 Controller app.
Managing your saved groups
You can create, edit, and delete your saved groups using the Sonos app for iOS or Android. To manage your saved groups, go to the Settings menu, select Manage next to My System, then select Groups. You can perform the following actions in the Groups settings menu:
Create a group
- Select Create Group.
- Select the rooms you want to include in your saved group.
- Give your group a name and select Save.
You can also create a saved group from the Grouping menu. Go to the Grouping menu on your Now Playing bar, then select the plus icon. Any rooms that are currently grouped will be automatically selected in the Create Group screen.
Edit a group
- Select one of your saved groups.
- Add or remove rooms by checking or unchecking them from the list.
- Select the Group Name to edit your group’s name.
- When you’re done editing, select Save.
Delete a group
- Select one of your saved groups.
- Select Delete Group, then select Confirm.
Using your saved groups
You can use your saved grouping presets from the Grouping menu in both the Sonos app for iOS or Android and the Sonos Web app. The names of your saved groups appear above your list of rooms.
In the Grouping menu, select the name of your saved group, then select Apply.
