Sonos Voice Control and Lutron
As of July 20th, 2026, you will now be able to use Sonos Voice Control with Lutron products.
Lutron products enable you to control physical devices such as lights, dimmers, and motorized window shades to be controlled via app and voice. The Sonos Voice Control for Lutron feature will use Sonos Voice Control functionality to turn on/off lights, change brightness, lower/raise shades, and enable scenes with Lutron products.
Before you start
Before beginning the setup process, you must meet the following requirements to ensure a successful setup:
- Your network must utilize a Lutron smart hub. While standalone Lutron functions work without a hub, voice assistant integration requires a hub device.
- You must have one of the following compatible Lutron systems: Radio RA3 or HomeWorks system.
- Other Lutron systems are not supported.
- Support for Caséta and Radio RA2 Select coming soon.

Sonos Voice Control and Lutron Home Control rooms
Sonos products are mapped to specific Home Control rooms so when delivering a voice command to a Sonos product, the action takes place on the predefined room. If a Sonos product has the exact same name as a Lutron Home Control room, it will be mapped to that room. Lutron users may manually assign a Home Control room to a Sonos product via the Lutron app.
