Set up Sonos 27voice

This article will show you how to set up Sonos 27voice on your Sonos system. Once set up, you can use Sonos 27voice to request music, control playback, group and ungroup rooms, and more.

Sonos 27voice is available starting fall 2026, supporting US-English. You can opt in to experience this feature while also providing feedback during the early refinement of the Sonos 27voice experience.

Upgrade to Sonos 27voice

1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
2. Go to the Settings menu and select General Settings.
3. Choose Voice Assistants, then select Sonos Voice Control.
4. Select + Upgrade, then choose Continue and follow the on-screen prompts.
5. You will have the option to review the Sonos Privacy Policy before continuing to set up if desired.

If you’d like to ask for weather-related information from Sonos 27voice, make sure to set your default location in the Sonos app after you’ve finished setting up the voice assistant.

Downgrade from Sonos 27voice to Sonos Voice Control

1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
2. Navigate to Settings, then select General Settings.
3. From there, choose Voice Assistants, then select Sonos Voice Control.
4. Under Sonos Voice Control Settings, select Downgrade.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the downgrade process.
