Change a product's room name

This article explains how to change the name of a room within the Sonos app. A room usually consists of a standalone product. Stereo pairs and home theater configured sets with surrounds or Sub will appear as a single room.

Sonos app for iOS or Android

1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
2. Navigate to Settings, and select the appropriate room.
   1. To change the name of your Sonos Ace, select it under Headphones.
3. Under Name, select the current room name.
4. Enter the desired room name.

Sonos S1 Controller app for iOS or Android

1. Open the Sonos S1 Controller app for iOS or Android.
2. From the Settings tab, select System.
3. Under Products, select the appropriate room.
4. Under Name, select the current room name.
5. Enter the desired room name.
