Error 1008 when updating Sonos
Error 1008 occurs when Sonos is unable to establish a secure connection to the update server. Below are some common steps you can take to resolve this error.
Close and reopen the Sonos app
Close and reopen any Sonos apps you're using. To close the Sonos app:
- On iOS, swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. If your iOS device has a home button, double-tap the home button instead. Swipe up on the Sonos app.
- On Android, swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the Sonos app.
Reboot your Sonos products
Reboot the products specified on the error screen. Once you have rebooted those products, wait for them to reappear in the Sonos app and try the update again.
