Using a Sub and surround speakers with Arc Ultra
Once your Arc Ultra has been set up, you can use the Sonos app to add a Sub and rear surround speakers to your home theater setup. You can find instructions on how to add these in the articles below:
Surround speaker and Sub compatibility
You can find a list of surround speakers and Subs that are compatible with Arc Ultra in our surround sound guidelines and limitations article.
Listen to Dolby Atmos on Arc Ultra
Arc Ultra must be connected to your TV’s HDMI-ARC input to play Dolby Atmos content. If Arc Ultra is receiving an Atmos signal, the Sonos app will show an Atmos badge on the "Now Playing" screen. You can also check the TV audio format within the app’s Settings menu.
For more information, see our article on playing Dolby Atmos on Sonos.
Control Arc Ultra with your voice
With Sonos Voice Control or Amazon Alexa added to your Arc Ultra, you can use your voice to turn your TV on and off as well as adjust the TV volume.
To use these commands, Arc Ultra must be connected to your TV’s HDMI-ARC or HDMI-eARC input and your TV needs to have HDMI-CEC enabled. Voice commands for turning the TV on and off will not work if Arc Ultra is connected via optical adapter.
